What is summer camp? Summer camp is an American tradition where children (campers) go to develop, grow and partake in activities during the summer. Summer camps hire local and international staff to provide a unique cultural exchange experience.  When does summer camp start? Summer camps start at various dates between early May and mid-June.  How long does camp last? Camp lasts around 9 weeks for camp counselors, 10 weeks for support staff and 11 weeks for day camp counselors.

We work with over 500 camps across the entire USA (even Hawaii & Alaska) but the majority of our camps are located in the North East States of America. Where will I be placed? You will be matched with a camp based on your skills, experience and motivation and the staffing requirements of the camps that we work with.

Every camp is different, and age groups will vary depending on the type of camp you go to. Most campers are aged from 6 to 16. How many children attend a summer camp? The number of camp attendees can vary greatly depending on the size of the camp.

From cabins to tents, to dorms, accommodation facilities vary across camps. We make sure that they all meet a Camp Leaders set standard and that they are suitable for you to live in. You'll be sharing your accommodation with campers and/or other staff members, depending on your role at camp.

What dates do I need to be available? Camps start between early May and mid-June. Depending on your role, you will need to be available for 9-11 weeks after your start date.  Is there an age limit for summer camp? The only age requirement is that you must be 18 by June 1st. Do I have to be a student to apply? If you are applying for a support staff role, you have to be a student as per the visa regulations.

Some camps are happy to hire friends, whereas others prefer to hire individuals.
